The challenge
Aurora's booking flow was built for solo travelers, but most of their bookings came from small groups planning together. The flow collapsed the moment a second person got involved: links were shared over chat apps, choices got lost, and carts expired before anyone agreed.
What I did
I mapped how groups actually decide — shortlists, vetoes, and a single payer — and redesigned the flow around a shared shortlist instead of a personal cart.
The outcome
Group bookings stopped leaking into chat apps, and completed bookings rose 41% in the first quarter after launch.
